Active company tagging identities and verification

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has amended Companies (Incorporation) Rules, 2014 by inserting rule 25A which says that every Company incorporated on or before 31-12-2017 shall file the particulars of the Company and its registered office in e-form Active (Active Company Tagging Identities and Verification) on or before 25-04-2019.

If a Company files the e-form Active (INC 22A) on or after 26-04-2019, it shall require to pay INR 10,000/- as a fee to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. In case of failure to file the said form the Company shall not be able to file Form SH - 07, PAS - 03, DIR - 12, INC - 22 and INC - 28.

The INC 22A form requires to attach photographs of registered office of the Company, its one Director/KMP and details of longitude and latitude of the registered office of the Company. Many of the Companies and professionals are facing problem to get the values of Longitude and Latitude.

Herein below we are delineating some ways to easily find Latitude and Longitude values:

1. Take photos with the Longitude and Latitude information

· Download NoteCam (also known as GPS camera) application from the Google Play Store.

· Open the application and allow GPS while it ask for

· On the side of the photo, you will get the details of longitude and latitude

· Click and save the photo.

· Convert the photo to the PDF and use the same as an attachment to the form.

- Mention the details of longitude and latitude in respective columns of the form.

2. Alternatively My Location – Latitude Longitude Save/Share application can be downloaded from Google Play Store and can be used to get the details of Latitude and Longitude.

3. Alternatively Latitude and Longitude values can be obtained from Google Map application by following steps:

~ When physically present at the location

- Open Google map in your phone

- Allow the GPS to get the location

- Click on your location and get the dropped pin (a red symbol will pop up)

- Elevate the details provided in the bottom to get values of Latitude and Longitude.

~ When physically away from the location

- Visit Google Map Link https://www.google.com/maps/search/

- Now enter Company name in search box

- Right click on Red Mark/Pin

- Now click on what’s here?

- You get the Address of Your Locality, and in last you find the same Latitude & Longitude values.

Note: The values of latitude and longitude denotes like Latitude: 22.2942932, & Longitude: 70.7864338.
